Our Police officers have a difficult and multifaceted job. We must provide them the resources to succeed.
Substance Abuse
We must educate our children from a young age about the dangers of substance abuse from illicit drugs to alcohol to prescription drugs.
We must continue to fund awareness & recovery programs in our towns. NARCAN should be available in every public building.
People need accessible lifetime support to address addiction issues. I agree dealers should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Educating our Force
Shockingly, according to both Barnstable Police and the Barnstable DA’s office, there is Human Trafficking in every town on the Cape. We must ensure every police dept has an expert to deal with cases. We must educate the public about what to look for if you see something, who to reach out to and how this insidious situation can happen to unsuspecting victims.
